3 Things You Can Do Right Now to Boost Your Content MarketingIf you haven’t realized it yet, this downtime is a unique opportunity to catch up on some of those marketing tasks you don’t always have time for . Boosting your content marketing is a great place to start.

Here are three things you can do right now.

Show Your Audience You’re Still Open for Business

The lights are out in your showroom or shop, so consumers might assume you’re completely closed for business. Let them know you’re still up and running by way of your content.

First, be sure your website’s homepage makes note of what’s happening with your particular company. If your showroom is closed but you’re still doing online estimates, make this clear on your homepage. If you’re doing phone or video consultations, draw attention to your phone number or appointment scheduling link. Don’t make your potential customers click around and wonder if you’re open. Let them know upfront .

Equally important, s pread the word via your social media channels. Use the power of social media to let consumers know you’re open for business and how you’re handling customer interactions right now, whether it’s by phone, video, or email. Don’t forget to includerelevant contact links in your posts.

And finally, publish a blog post that explains your new business process. This will function as a great tie-in with your social media posts.   T his is an uncertain time for businesses and individuals alike; consumers are looking for clear information, even if it’s about their interaction with you. If your business has adopted a completely online process for dealing with customers, explain what that process will look like from the customer’s end. If they understand the process and are comfortable with how you’re doing business, the customer is more likely to choose you over your competitor.

Stock Up on Content

When it comes to content marketing, one of the most common things we hear is, “I just don’t have time to write a bunch of blog posts.” Well, now you do!

This is an ideal time to stock up on content for your blog. And don’t limit yourself to a couple of posts that will get you through the nextfew weeks. Stockpile as many articles as you can. Look ahead to the upcoming season change, upcoming holidays, promotion s you plan to run in later months , and so on. Develop content that will be relevant in the future weeks and months.

Build an arsenal of content for your blog. Then, as things get back to normal, you can focus on your business rather than writing content. Remember, you can always edit and update the articles you’ve written to be sure they’re timely when you get around to posting them on your blog.

Rework Your Previous Content

Recycling your content is a great way to save yourself a bit of time while also sharing valuable information with customers who may not have seen it originally.

Take some time to review your past blog posts and articles. Pay special attention to the posts that performed better than others and consider the posts that may be particularly relevant in this business climate. These are the best posts to repurpose.

But reusing past content doesn’t mean simply reposting the same article again. It’s important the content is appropriate and applicable to what’s happening currently with your business. Make chang es to the content as needed, be sure links still work and contain current information, and update statistics and other data as needed.
